ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
• Open and close top and bottom manways on all applicable vessels - Reactors and tanks require manways open for inspection and cleaning. Bottom manways may require controlled release downward and heavy lifting to close. 
• Piping installation and replacement – Repair/replace piping and valves throughout plant site. Piping varies in size and schedule from .5 inch to 12 inch in carbon and stainless, schedule 5 through schedule 80. Pipe is mostly overhead and can be screwed, flanged, or welded. Requires overhead lifting and tightening/loosening of pipe threads or flange bolts.
• Welding/Fabrication – Projects requiring welding and fabrication of metal pipe and securing means. Cutting and welding of trench and floor grating. Welding repairs on plant equipment.
• Vessels – Perform needed repairs. Confined space entry into various vessels. Equipment Maintenance & Repairs – Assembly, disassembly, and repairs of pumps, agitators, gearboxes and seals require some climbing onto vessels and lifting of replacement parts.
• Hydroblaster – Use tools to complete needed repairs of high pressure pump. Use chain hoist and/or lever hoists to install blaster unit.
• Forklift Operation – Obtain certification/license to mount, dismount and operate powered forklift.
• Clean-up Activities – Janitorial tasks for maintenance areas including trash removal, sweeping, picking up after repair job is completed.
• Full-face respirator is required for portions of this job. OSHA mandated fit test and medical clearance by a licensed health care professional is required. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 
• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work alone on a rotating shift

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous experience in chemical manufacturing
• Welding experience
• Previous experience with hazardous materials
• Previous experience with Maintelligence or other Maintenance Management System

SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to use multiple hand tools to perform repairs
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read CAD drawings
