Job description
Large manufacturing company is seeking material handlers for their distribution center in Hobart. These roles are due to an increase in order volume and will be brought in with the company.
3pm-11pm- Monday-Friday
11pm-7am Monday-Friday
Description:
Utilize various sit down forklifts: EPJ's, stock chaser, Bendy, sit down forklift up to 5,000 lb
utilize RF scanner
build pallets
correctly count product
basic math ability (need 20,000 feet within 10 boxes=2,000 feet of product each)
attention to detail
bundle products
follow pick sheet to gather materials
utilize a shrink wrap machine to prepare pallets and shipments
accurately attach proper shipping information
ensure product is correct and accurate before shipment
utilize a computer to document shipments
Break up bundles of product to prepare orders
stack product in a safe manner
move scrap material out of work space
1st 1-2 months just breaking pallets down and stocking influx of inventory
utilize a stand up forklift
utilize a cherry picker
comfortable with heights
