Position Summary:

The Front Desk Office Worker is responsible for the smooth and efficient flow of patients through the dental clinic.

Position Responsibilities

• Checking in patients
• Answering phones
• Computer entry of patient information
• Answering questions
• Collecting payments
• Maintaining statistics
• Insurance verification and entry
• Data entry of patient's treatments and payments in practice management system.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
• Collect and update insurance.
• Cross train with insurance billing clerk.
• Assure all procedures and payments are entered into Open Dental.
• Attend meetings as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in Microsoft Excel and Spreadsheets.
• Minimum one (1) year experience working in an administrative setting, medical or dental administrative experience, preferred.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills.
• Foster cultural competency to effectively engage with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Willingness to work in a collective.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience in medical/dental office setting.

Compensation Details:

This is a non-exempt position with target starting base compensation of $18 per hour paid on a bi-weekly basis.

In addition, this position qualifies for a competitive health and welfare package and generous paid time off opportunities.
