Role Summary:
In this role, you’ll be providing technical leadership to an engineering team that is developing consumer-focused products to further Iontra’s vision and mission. You will develop requirements and architectures to optimize and achieve project goals. You will guide product development activities and ultimately transition products into volume manufacturing. This is a full-time role located in our Centennial, CO office in a fast-paced startup environment.
Salary Range: $150,000 - $175,000 (salary is based on education, experience, skillset, and market value).
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading a team developing a family of market leading consumer products
- Developing product requirements – electrical, software and standards body compliance
- Lead and develop the systems and electrical architecture, documenting using Atlassian based tools
- Guiding design, development, testing, and deployment activities
- Coordinating with mechanical, software, and other engineering disciplines
- Working as the lead technical representative of the cross-functional project teams along with our product, PMO, supply chain, quality and other teams
- Actively managing technical risks, communicating & alleviating issues in time to project team members, and collaborate to find solutions
- Define and maintain the schedules of the work products of the engineering resources or contract resources on the program, ensuring metrics-driven design quality
- Provide leadership, mentor junior engineers and hands-on help to the team in regular investigations and debugs as needed
You’ll Need These Qualifications:
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or Embedded Systems
- 10+ years of relevant experience in electrical/electronics/Embedded SW development
- In lieu of degree, additional years of experience may suffice
- Proficient in circuit design and simulation
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams
- Experience with testing and troubleshooting electrical systems and Embedded Systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across teams and levels of the organization
- Well-organized, reliable, attention to detail, strong skill in root-causing issues using formal methods, driving cross-functional initiatives, demonstrated personal initiative
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with battery technology
- Experience with Altium
- Hands on experience with SW development
- Experience bringing products from concept to market
- Experience with Bluetooth and IoT products
- Experience supporting mobile Application development
- Knowledge of industry certifications standards such as UL, CE, FCC, etc.
- Worked with Electronics Contract Manufacturers or ODMs is a plus
- Experiences in working with supply chain partners for consumer electronics or other products is highly desired
