Job description

Position: Environmental Specialist

Location: MI Trenton 48183

Duration : 16 months of contract

Pay Rate: $ 36/hour

Roles and Responsibilities:

Complete field environmental inspections of waste water and air systems.
Maintain environmental management systems and plans that identify the location of hazardous sites chemical inventories and complaint investigations.
Implement spill prevention programs and hazardous waste regulations.
Develop and recommend solutions to eliminate pollution and environmental hazards.
Collect samples of waste soil and water as needed.
Act as the power plants liaison for environmental compliance concerns.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Engineering or relevant fields.
A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role (power plant technician or engineering experience or environmental compliance)
Knowledge of regulatory requirements interpretations and health and safety programs.
Aptitude to solve problems quickly with advanced conflict resolution skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Outstanding analytical abilities.
