Job description

I’m working with a pediatric therapy and autism service group that specializes in conducting evaluations and providing ongoing services in homes, community, and clinic settings. If you’re looking for a new opportunity, we’re in need of a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team full-time or part-time in Fairfax, VA.

Job Responsibilities include providing pediatric therapy services and evaluations to children aged birth to 21 years in a natural setting, educating families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over, following a therapy plan established for a family/child with ongoing treatment and identified goals, preparing progress reports, along with other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Virginia license required.
• Must have a passion for working with children and families!
• Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
• Must be comfortable working in a home-based setting.
• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.
