Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor

Job description
T his position is responsible for leading and directing the safe, secure, and efficient work of receiving, inventory control and material handling personnel. In addition to overseeing receiving, this role manages the on and off-site warehouses including transportation, picking, packing, storage, and physical inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Administer inventory management policies and standards governing the movement of goods and supplies while leading a team of Inventory Control Specialists and Material Handlers
- Collaborate with and manage local 3PL warehouses, including performing inventory cycle and physical counts
- Manage local truck fleet and drivers, ensuring compliance with DOT and other applicable laws
- Work in partnership with broader team to improve efficiency, safety and cost savings by optimizing the warehouse, including bin locations
- Investigate and reconcile local inventory and warehouse issues according to SOX requirements
- Responsible for accurate inspecting, labeling, receiving, storing, picking, issuing, disposal, and inventory of all product and raw materials
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping within the warehouse, secured vaults, and shipping/receiving areas
- Operate a forklift or other material handling equipment upon completion of training and certification
- Ensure timely maintenance and updates on all warehouse, shipping and receiving equipment
- Commit to close collaboration with local Operations, Procurement and Finance/Accounting teams
- Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards including SOX compliance and audits
- Facilitate all administrative functions for direct reports including performance management, payroll, goal setting, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of Warehouse and Logistics Management experience, including Receiving and Inventory Control required
- Knowledge of industry regulations, compliance and related state/federal laws
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field preferred
