Position Purpose:

The Project Manager Operations collaborates and partners with Operations leaders to manage and implement projects and process improvements for various Stericycle business areas. This position performs specific audit processes for the Medical Waste and Secure Document Destruction services. 

Key Job Activities:

•    Project Management:
o    Help create, develop, operational projects that increase efficiencies and decrease cost within frontline operations. 
o    Organize, maintain, and provide structure to operational reporting avenues and calendars   
o    Act as first level contact to all support function on issues regarding operational changes/needs
•    Process Management:
o    Collaborate with support functions to track, analyze, validate, and monitor projects to ensure efficiencies and results are met. 
o    Report and review results with senior leaders. 
o    Design training, tools and job aids to assist operations increase and improve safety and efficiencies
•    Financial Oversight:
o    Provide project management and analysis for internal and external audits of third party business (SOX, SOC-1)
o    Manage review of all relevant price books, to ensure the correct charges are billed to SRCL by the 3rd parties
o    Coordinate requisition and purchase order creation and execution of payment to 3rd parties for services rendered
•    Manages team members responsible for:
o    REPORTING: collaborating with industrial engineering to get accurate and usable reports for operations. 
o    SANITY CHECKER: Help close gaps with front line leaders, engineering team, RVPs, and SVPs

Education:

Preferred Education: in Bachelors or Equivalent

Experience (North America & LATAM):

•    Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Commerce and/or Business Studies preferred) specifically in a multiple business branch/unit environment
•    Experience managing projects
•    Must be able to multitask by juggling multiple projects at once while managing by priority. 
•    Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, and cross functionally, while meeting project deadlines/goals with minimal supervision
•    Must demonstrate a strong understanding of the following systems/applications:
o    Coupa
o    SAP S4
o    SEMS 
o    Descartes Route Planner
o    Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams)
o    Microsoft SharePoint 
o    WebEx
