What You'll Do:

Job Overview- Under minimal supervision executes the planning and coordination of winery events as well as leading winery tours for visiting Trade Guests and Industry Partners. Responsible for organizing and leading wine tasting and planning/organizing Trade, Community and Employees events.

Job Responsibilities-

•  Educates guests on company history, winery features, and technical wine knowledge through tours.
•  Provides expert responses to questions on wine growing, winemaking, and seasonal activities.
•  Coordinates trade based educational experience up to and including - transportation, catering, florals, linen rentals, and other event details for complex events.
•  Manages event expenses and accounting, including creating expense records and closing out invoices.
•  Provides hospitality support at events on other North Coast properties, as required.
•  Works closely with winery sales organization ensuring that special request for tours and events are activated and provides recommendations based on customer need.
•  Functions as the event host for winery special events and meals at the Modesto Winery

What You Will Need:

•  Bachelor's degree plus 1 year of hospitality, catering, event planning, event marketing, planning/scheduling, customer service, public relations, administrative support, or retail sales experience; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 5 years of hospitality, catering, event planning, event marketing, planning/scheduling, customer service, public relations, administrative support, or retail sales experience reflecting increasing level of responsibility.
•  Skilled in effective presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers peers or the general public.
•  Required to be 21 years of age or older.
•  Candidates for this position must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record. Required to obtain a California's drivers license or appropriate states driver's license within 30 days of hire.
•  Required to possess distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
•  Required occasionally lift and move cases of product and event equipment weighting up to 45 pounds.
•  Required to work at functions taking place in the evening and on weekends.
•  Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting, and executing simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos.
•  Skilled in writing simple correspondences.
•  Skilled in the use of MS word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint at an intermediate level.
•  Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing while using whole numbers.
•  Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
•  Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

Compensation:

•  Hiring Salary Range Posted: $26.63 - $39.90 / hourly
•  Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
