Position Purpose: As a Purchasing Manager, you will lead initiatives that contribute to the purchasing department running efficiently. You will perform people leader responsibilities, maintain various reports, and communicate with internal and external customers. A successful candidate will be able to lead the centralized buyers, identify new opportunities for customers, and collaborate with cross functional teams to add value for all our customers and suppliers.
Responsibilities: - Motivate and mentor a group of centralized buyers.
- Lead projects focused on company and department goals.
- Lead customer centric improvement projects supporting various Core-Mark customers.
- Identify training opportunities within the Purchasing Department.
- Monitor company and department KPIs.
- Identifying inventory opportunities and proactively offering creative solutions.
- Build strong communications with Core-Mark Suppliers, Operations, Marketing and Sales.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with centralized purchasing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based programs.
• Experience with Foodservice items/programs.
• Proficiency in Power BI.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent business experience.
• 5 years related experience in wholesale/retail procurement or related field.
• Familiarity and working knowledge of AS400.
