Job Summary
Seeking Refrigeration Technicians with 1 year of maintenance experience or completion of an industrial refrigeration training program. Candidates must hold certifications in lockout/tag out, confined space, fall protection, and forklift operation. Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) is preferred.
Job Description
- This position is responsible for operating and maintaining the refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Company's policies and procedures.
- This position is responsible for providing mechanical support to the facility.
- This support includes but is not limited to mechanical troubleshooting (including electrical), mechanical repairs, modification of equipment, preventive maintenance, and installation of equipment in the area of the ammonia refrigeration system and HVAC.
- This position performs repairs on various equipment within the facility, both production and non-production related.
- Refrigeration mechanics troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns, complete assigned work orders, and document them in the SAP maintenance system.
- This position will weld and fabricate as needed, monitor the ammonia system to ensure proper functioning and repair air compressors, water systems, A/C heat units, etc.
Skills Required
- Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently required to lift and move up to 75 pounds (with assistance), climb tall ladders, bend, and crouch, and perform tasks while working from elevated platforms.
- While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly exposed to wet and humid conditions and extreme cold/hot conditions. The noise level in the work environment typically requires hearing protection.
- Minimum 1 year refrigeration maintenance work experience or gradual of an industrial refrigeration training program. Can be a combination of employers. (Must be DOCUMENTED in application or resume.)
- Be able to be lockout/tag out certified, confined space certified, fall protection certified, and forklift certified.
- Must be part of the HAZMAT team and be able to pass the Respirator Level 4 physical annually.
- Process Safety Management (PSM) experience is a plus.
Education/Training/Certifications
- Must be able to complete Level 1 Operator training.
- Must complete the maintenance training program to L4 within the designated time frame.
- Must be able to get a boiler license.
Additional Requirements
- This position works either 6:00am – 6:00pm or 6:00pm – 6:00am on a rotating schedule.
Pay Rate/Salary
- Base Compensation: $24.45/hour - $34.90/hour (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location.)
