Job description
A dynamic and innovative IT company in the DC Metro region is in search of an experienced IT Procurement and Delivery Specialist to join the team. As a managed services provider, we are a client-driven company committed to providing the best and most efficient service to our clients, often with very tight deadlines. This position plays a critical role assisting with client needs, responding to requests in a timely fashion, staying abreast of critical technological improvements, and answering questions from clients as they arise.
The ideal candidate will be someone who has knowledge of technical specifics as well as the ability to apply them in a way that best suits the client.
We are seeking someone that has a thorough knowledge of PCs, hardware, software, cloud platforms and peripherals as well as a superior understanding of networking technologies, concepts and protocols. An understanding of cybersecurity is also critical. The right fit will be a self-starter who can work both independently and as part of the team. A willingness to learn new technologies is a must.
Qualifications:
4-year degree and at least 4 years of relevant IT experience.
This is not an entry-level position.
Technical requirements include:
Windows 10 and 11 OS, 2016/2019/2022 Windows server, Mac OSx 12 and higher
Microsoft Office 365 Exchange and Google Apps for Business
Cloud based file sharing solutions like Sharepoint online, Egnyte, and Box.com
Experience with PC and component level installation, configuration, and troubleshooting such as memory, hard drives, etc.
Solid understanding of LAN/WAN topology, network protocols, switches and firewalls from a variety of vendors
Software installations and troubleshooting for common business software like Office, Adobe, Quickbooks, etc.
Cyber security awareness for proper configuration of all components to meet compliance and regulatory needs.
Responsibilities, Expectations and Core Requirements:
We support our customers in all their technology requirements ranging from help with servers, workstations, and network infrastructure, to advice on a decision regarding hosted email solutions, security and PC configurations. The individual we seek must be confident in handling challenges of all sizes and find reward in helping customers make the most of their technology.
Responsibilities for this position are detailed below:
Evaluate customer and project requirements in order to propose the appropriate solutions. This can range from new desktops and laptops to SSO and cloud file share solutions to productivity software and networking equipment.
Design proposals for hardware and software to meet the client needs in a way that is most functional and efficient while ensuring technical compatibility.
Follow up with the proposals to ensure questions are answered.
Place orders with various vendors to complete the procurement for client projects.
Track, receive and document the items ordered for the client projects and ensuring timely set up and install.
Capacity to communicate technical concepts in simple terms; ability to communicate with clients and co-workers and work with people of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Ability to think logically and creatively and act quickly in the best interests of the client.
Must be able to shift priorities daily to meet the needs and demands of our clients and manage your time effectively without excessive supervision or intervention.

Other Requirements:
• This position requires physical labor. Must be able to lift and move asset items up to 75 pounds.
• Must have transportation and be able to travel to client sites.
• Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the US.
