Research and Program Administrator
The Eli Broad College of Business is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Research and Program Administrator to join the Dean's Office team. This individual will play a pivotal role in supporting the college research efforts and efficient operation of the subunits within the Dean's Office. Key responsibilities include pre-and post-grant research support in conjunction with the Associate Dean for Research, financial document processing, scholarship administration, onboarding and offboarding processes for new and departing employees, and human resources and general administrative support. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, ensuring the seamless flow of administrative functions.
Responsibilities will encompass support for: Associate Dean for Research, Marketing and Communications, Learning Technology and Development, and Education Abroad.
40% - College Research and Sponsored Programs Support:
30% - Financial Management and Business Planning for assigned sub-units:
20% - Human Resources and General Administrative Support for assigned sub-units:
10% - Research Administration Services
The job requires: knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Business administration, Finance, or a research-related field; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in research administration including the area of pre- or post-award processes, or related field such as regulatory administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This job requires completion of Essentials of Research Administration (MSU Certificate) or equivalent within one year of hire.
