Position Overview

 

Under the general supervision of the Director of Marketing & Communications, with a dotted line to the Assistant Director of Communications, the Public Relations Assistant supports various communications tactics involving content creation and media relations. This role supports the Director of Marketing & Communications; Assistant Director of Communications and PR Coordinators by providing tactical support focused on research, media list building and research; assistance in written work and reporting. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the department.

 

The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, impeccable writing skills, and a willingness to learn and grow in the department. This role is perfect for someone detail-oriented, who takes the initiative and exhibits a high level of work ethic, is proactive and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Our ideal candidate is a team player with excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and communication skills.
