Position: Forklift Operator

Location: Memphis, TN (Ragan St)

Wage: $20.95/ hr

Shift premium - .65 -2nd shift and 3rd Shift - $0.75

Shift: Must be able to work 2nd and 3rd shift.

*SIGN ON BONUS - $1,000

While reporting to the Department Manager, the Forklift Operator will support the Shipping and the Press Departments.

What you will be doing:

• Schedule Shipment Transportation with Fleet Carriers using M2K and Oracle System and Work proficiently in MS Word, Excel programs. Communicate through email and fax
• Input/transaction responsibilities -Receive raw materials, transfer materials and prepare shipping bill of ladings
• Schedule/Direct inbound carriers and manage conflicts with carriers.
• Conform to safety rules and shipping procedures
• Provide directions to plant as needed
• Prepare small package shipment and process in UPS System and prepare and route paperwork to the appropriate person as needed
• Completion of assignment and task as needed to support the plant
• Must be able to prioritize work responsibilities.
• Demonstrate good phone etiquette with Sonoco customers and carriers

We’d like to hear from you if:

• 2 yrs. or more of work experience in Quality and Manufacturing environment
• High School Diploma or GED
• Qualify as a Forklift Operator and Sit-Down Forklift Operator
