Job description
Title: Cost and Finance Analyst
Schedule: 100% in office – Boise, ID
Salary: 135k -150k
Overview: The Cost and Finance Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting manufacturing operations by managing engineered job order standard costing, manufacturing accounting, and financial planning and analysis. This role is essential for facilitating operational enhancements and driving profitable growth. The analyst will serve as a key financial partner, offering expertise, recommendations, and solutions.
Responsibility: - Validate the cost of goods sold during month-end close.
- Reconcile inventory monthly, including E&O calculations, aged WIP reserve, shrink reserve, and other inventory reserves as necessary. Identify and implement improvement opportunities.
- Analyze monthly gross margins, inventory, and key metrics (DSI, DPO), providing regular reporting to finance and operations management.
- Analyze and report on manufacturing variances monthly, offering insights into root causes and suggesting corrective actions.
- Issue, audit, and review monthly product line gross margin statements.
- Assist in the preparation of capital authorization requests (CARs) for upcoming capital projects, conducting forward-looking financial analysis to determine expected net present value, payback, etc.
- Accumulate and report capital spend and compare to budget. Assist the G/L team in validating spend applicability to projects and capitalization eligibility.
- Month-end and Quarter-end Close Process
- Cost Rolls: Calculate labor and overhead rates and apply overhead costs in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Requirements: - Epicor software.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance.
- 5 years of progressive experience in Cost Accounting, financial analysis, or similar roles.
