The Information Technology department is looking to hire an Application Analyst full-stack .NET developer for this remote position. The Applications Analyst will be responsible for the business process analysis, design, development, implementation, and support of the applicable business applications. This position does not manage staff. The position reports to the Software Engineering Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Candidate will be an object-oriented, full-stack developer, preferably in ASP.NET (.NET Framework & .NET 6 or later), Blazor, MVC, C#, Javascript, HTML, CSS, APEX, and Java.
- Support existing in-house developed applications written in .NET, Cold Fusion, Java, Access and Apex.
- May support and administer SharePoint sites and operations.
- Assist in the administration and technical responsibility of COTS applications including support for users, translating business requirements into enhancements; configuring and testing changes; maintaining and monitoring system security and permissions; and coordinating activities with other team members, the application owner, and IT.
- Write program code from internal specification documentation or outdated application code and prepare test plans, test data, run tests, observe results and correct program code to resolve any differences from specifications.
- Identify, report, and assist in the remediation of Cyber Security threats and vulnerabilities.
- May evaluate user requirements and assist in writing specifications.
- Perform other duties assigned by Management.
Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field or equivalent computer-related experience.
- Basic understanding of SQL Server and Oracle relational databases.
- Basic understanding of design, code, test, debug, document and maintain programs.
- Experience using Azure DevOps, Git, Visual Studio, and Toad for Oracle.
- Must have experience developing web applications and deploying on Windows Server using IIS web server.
- Must have knowledge about secured application development and experience applying that to web applications.
- Knowledge of technical principles, theories, standards, practices and procedures in software development is a must.
- Ability to use multiple electronic devices including standard office machines, cellular phones, and security appliances.
- Ability to understand policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and other directives, maintain strict confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, sufficient to communicate with co-workers, customers, write clear and concise reports, gather information, and collect information.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements necessary to perform all assigned duties safely and effectively.
- This is 100% remote; Site Optional Non-Restricted (Full-time AWA anywhere in U.S.).
- Personnel may be requested by leadership to work in excess of 40 hours per week due to projects, activities, and emergences; critical operational demands may occasionally require off-shift work.
- Work Schedule options include:4/10s Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday; 5/8s Monday-Friday; 9/80 Monday-Friday, every other Friday off.
- Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license .
Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ‘ Identity, Credential, and Access Management ,’ and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ‘ Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors .’

Hourly range for this position is: $28.22 - $42.33 .
Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
