About the Job:
Stumpy’s Hatchet House is excited to bring the original social throwdown to both Columbia and Towson MD!
We are searching for an outstanding General Manager who will lead our front end operations, including reservations, customer relations, and event planning. The General Manager is responsible for managing front desk help, backend operations and oversee throwing coaches. Additionally, the General Manager, pays close attention to the day to day schedule and ensures that there are ample employees to provide customers with the most positive and safe experience.
Responsibilities:
- Train and supervise front desk help and communicate with Front Desk Lead
- Communicate & follow up with customers to plan parties, team building events, fundraisers, etc
- Manage daily schedule of employees and customers
- Work with management team to ensure a positive and safe work environment
- Work with management team to ensure opening/closing procedures are done efficiently
- Manage bookkeeping of registers and depositing of daily cash
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
- Previous experience as a manager in a Guest-facing environment
- Ability to solve problems under pressure while maintaining a fun, friendly environment
- Ability to provide a welcoming and fun environment to customers
- Ability to motivate and manage employees
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- Proven ability to motivate a team and drive culture to create results
- Previous sales and marketing experience
- Previous cash-handling experience is required
- Attention to detail and safety
- Strong multitasking & problem solving skills
- Ability to work well with diverse teams
Experience:
- Management: 2 years (Preferred)
Education:
Hours & Compensation:
- 40 hours per week
- Full-time
- Salary: $50,000.00 to $55,000.00 /year
- Benefits: Medical/Dental/Vision/401k
- Time will be split between both Columbia and Towson MD locations.
