GENERAL SUMMARY
Environmental and Regulatory Programs intern:
This position includes various regulatory and environmental compliance tasks such as preparation/review of regulatory reports and calculations, assisting with program assessments, supporting Environmental Stewardship Program initiatives, and interacting with Energy Northwest and external customers. This position includes opportunities to learn about potable water, regulated waste, stormwater, wastewater, air emissions, and other environmental compliance programs.
Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, or related science or engineering majors are preferred.

Approximate work schedule for this position is flexible to the student's class schedule and will be approximately 15-20 hours a week during the school year with the option of full-time during the summer.
Provide entry-level to more advanced technical support for the designated organization based on assigned projects and student skill level. This position will be directly accountable to assigned department staff and will support assigned project related activities and initiatives.

Support emergent related work or assignments
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Requires current part to full time enrollment status in a bachelor’s or graduate degree program in a technical field related to the assigned role at an accredited college or university. Target hire designation is determined by the expected knowledge level needed for the job duties assigned to each internship and by the expected status level of the student when the internship commences (Senior, Junior, etc). Must maintain a minimum 2.8 cumulative G.P.A. unless approved by Human Resources. The selected candidate will be expected to be available to work onsite at the designated work location on a year-round basis if business needs warrant it. High School Diploma or GED required.
Pay Range
$15.74 minimum - $24.41 maximum Hourly
Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.
Incentive Compensation
This role may be eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
