Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Warehouse Specialist to join our team. As an Oracle Warehouse Specialist, you will be responsible for reverse engineering Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB) ETL processes, developing new replacement Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) processes, and ensuring consistent functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reverse engineer Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB) ETL processes and develop new replacement Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) processes.
- Conduct data modeling activities including dimensional and relational modeling.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and implement normalization/de-normalization strategies.
- Perform data extraction, cleansing, and manipulation tasks in a child welfare environment.
- Collaborate with the team to develop PL/SQL solutions for Oracle Data Warehouse development work.
- Utilize advanced Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) techniques such as bulk select, bulk insert, arrays, and dynamic SQL.
- Develop and test maps, perform source-to-target mappings, and conduct storage capacity planning.
- Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirement gathering, development, testing, debugging, deployment, and documentation.
- Provide production support, resolve load issues, handle load inquiries, and perform 2nd level testing of issues and code fixes.
- Contribute to infrastructure upgrades and enhancements, including Oracle upgrades.
- Develop Unix Shell Scripting and utilize SFTP protocols in a UNIX or LINUX environment.
- Build database schemas, tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures according to project requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proficiency in reverse engineering OWB ETL processes and developing ODI processes.
- Strong expertise in data modeling, process improvement, and normalization/de-normalization.
- Experience with PL/SQL development and working in Oracle Data Warehouses.
- Demonstrated proficiency in advanced ETL techniques including bulk select, bulk insert, arrays, and dynamic SQL.
- Hands-on experience with developing and testing maps, source-to-target mappings, and ETL in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
- In-depth knowledge of the SDLC, including requirement gathering, testing, deployment, and documentation.
- Experience working in a UNIX or LINUX environment and proficiency in Unix Shell Scripting and SFTP protocols.
- Strong ability to build database schemas, tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures.
