Since 1995, South Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine has been dedicated to providing comprehensive orthopaedic and musculoskeletal care for patients along southeast Florida's Treasure Coast. Our physicians have outstanding credentials, and we continue to grow and expand our rehabilitation services.

We are looking for a skilled and caring Physical Therapist (PT) who understands and is committed to exceptional professional standards and quality patient care. Our Physical Therapists are an integral part of the patient care and rehabilitation programs we provide.

In this role, you will:

• Collaborate closely with our physicians, clinical staff, and PT teams to manage and advance the quality of care we administer.

• Conduct physical therapy evaluations and review physician orders to establish appropriate treatment plans.

• Effectively communicate with patient regarding patient diagnosis, treatment plan, and goals.

• Implement a treatment program consisting of manual therapy, modalities, therapeutic exercise, and patient education.

• Provide clear instruction in proper exercise technique, equipment use, and home exercise program.

• Conduct physical therapy re-evaluation following established time guidelines to include objective findings.

• Perform discharge planning with appropriate discharge instructions to the patient, including a written home exercise program (as necessary).

• Respond to patient questions and or concerns.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm in our Stuart office.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Qualified candidates must be a graduate of an accredited program, Master's degree preferred.

• Active Florida PT license required.

• EHR experience and computer skills required.

• Experience in an orthopaedic practice is helpful, but not required.

Physical Demands:

• Standing and walking for extended periods of time.

• Lifting, pulling, and stooping when assisting patients up to 300 lbs.

• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
