Job description
Job Responsibilities:
The Air Quality Consultant will support the existing project workload and continued growth of our Air Quality program.
The selected candidate will be expected to manage projects and clients
Delegate work to and manage staff-level resources
As well as to conduct business development activities.
Required Qualifications:
B.S. Degree in Environmental, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, or related field
5 or more years of air quality consulting experience
Experience with air dispersion modeling software, most importantly AERMOD
Experience using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook
Ability to work collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced and creative environment
Highly developed organizational skills
Adaptive ability to be detail-oriented while maintaining focus on big picture project objectives to meet competing deadlines and demands
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and think critically
Excellent oral, written, communication, presentation, strategic thinking, and “people” skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Business development skills and experience
Experience with Nevada air quality regulations and permitting
Experience providing air quality services to the mining industry
Experience preparing Air Quality Impact Assessments for EA/EIS sections for NEPA is strongly preferred
Experience with California and other western states air quality regulations and permitting
Experience preparing greenhouse gas (GHG) impact analyses
Indoor air quality experience
Physical and Travel Requirements:
Ability to travel regionally as needed and conduct fieldwork
Ability to work out-of-town for varying amounts of times (over-night trips to multiple weeks in some limited cases)
Wear personal protective equipment
Perform duties outside of normal working hours, as necessary
