Fraud Investigator

The Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury is seeking an  Investigator to investigate allegations of fraud, waste, and abuse in government and publicly funded entities. Candidates for this position will live in the Middle region, Mid East region, or Upper East region of Tennessee, as outlined in the provided map, see below (depicted as the yellow, purple, and pink regions).

This will involve: Travel
Investigators must be able travel throughout Tennessee as needed; however, they travel primarily within an assigned region. Work related travel is reimbursed.  The standard work week for this position is 37.5 hours; however, Investigators may be required to work a flexible schedule to meet deadlines.

The Division of Investigations supports the Comptroller's mission of making government work better by investigating allegations of fraud, waste, and abuse in government and publicly funded entities and by working closely with law enforcement and prosecutors on criminal allegations.  The Division of Investigations has teams in four regions – West (green), Middle (yellow), Mid East (purple), and Upper East (pink) - based on geography and judicial districts.  These regions are shown in the map below.

Compensation
The Comptroller’s Office offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package that includes twelve days each of annual leave and sick leave, insurance plans, retirement plan, 401(k), college fee waivers, and much more.
