About the Client

 We would like to introduce you an exciting opportunity for a Senior Director Clinical Development in a smaller (but well-funded) Biotech, with their own GMP in place.  The company is stable and has a long funding horizon in excess of 2 years + before milestone payments. With an exclusive and supportive leadership team with a strong track record in developing, registering and launching new drugs, this role will give you the chance to work and grow in a safe, collaborative and supportive environment.

About the role

 The role is graded as a Senior Director and it is reporting to the Vice President, Clinical Development and will be responsible for championing the product(s) under development. This includes the design, planning, execution, scientific integrity, and medical oversight of clinical studies for all phases of development for various therapeutic areas (TA) including neurology, pulmonology, hepatology, obesity and potentially additional TA programs from early clinical development through regulatory approval.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be a core member of the clinical development team and will contribute to the clinical strategy and ensure all activities aligns with the appropriate regulations
• You will be supporting the VP with planning and will represent the company in meetings with the Regulatory Authorities and in congress
• You will collaborate with other functions such as Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Biostats, Quality Assurance, etc. and CROs to ensure that the study timelines and objectives are accomplished
• You will serve as a subject matter expert and monito the monitors as needed and will be responsible for championing the products under development
• You will be working together with Clinical Operations to ensure all clinical study activities are completed in accordance with the regulations and guidance.

Requirements:

• Strong scientific background and experience with all stages of clinical development
• Medical Doctor with at least 7 years of experience in industry
• Would be an advantage to have a training in Neurology or Cardio or Hepatology
• Our client is looking for an innovative, communicative and dedicated, pro-active individual with the ability to multi-task and manage several programs in parallel.

Package & Location:  

The role is based in Massachusetts and for the right individual they would consider remote (if you are based in the East Coast). Our client offers a strong package which includes a 25% bonus, stock on joining and annual award.
