Founded in 1948, we are a 3rd generation, family-owned specialty distributor of residential and commercial building products and services. Our focus includes windows, doors, cabinets, siding, and garage doors and hardware.
The Window and Door Specialist position will be a technical sales professional at its core. This position will oversee communicating product specifications (taught by Lensing) to our dealers, and the specialist will provide support for our existing outside general products salesforce and offer tech support for service and troubleshooting requests. The Specialist will be reading blueprints and have a general knowledge of the building trades, basic window and door building codes, and be a great communicator. The Specialist will be doing day travel to the surrounding lumber companies and must have a good driving record. The candidate will have rudimental experience in contact management software use, and have computer skills as they relate to Excel, blueprint reading software (read only) and they will be able to utilize brand-specific quoting software. The ideal candidate will not likely have all these skills and experiences on day one, but we are willing to invest in the right person to teach and cultivate the skillsets desired.
Requirements
· College degree or industry-specific experience desirable
· Familiarity with building products and basic building construction processes.
· Computer skills a must
· Clean driving record
· Professional technical sales experience
· Teamwork experience (no lone wolves)
Physical Requirements
· Must be able to lift bulky objects from time to time.
