Summer Golf Course Intern
Golf Course in Berthoud, Colorado is looking for a Summer Golf Course Intern.
Position Overview:
This position will allow you to gain the work experience necessary in becoming an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. Interns will be introduced to all aspects of golf course maintenance, including crew management, creating daily crew assignments, conducting morning meetings, and equipment operation. Interns will shadow the Equipment Manager and learn how equipment is maintained, work with the Irrigation Foreman on installation, repair, and troubleshooting, and become fluent in fertilizer/pesticide calibration and application techniques. Additionally, Interns will learn directly under the Director of Golf Course Maintenance Operations attending staff meetings, creating budgets, tracking expenses, and water management.
Requirements:
Enrolled in a program 2 year, 4 year, certificate.
Experience preferred but not needed.
Compensation:
$15 – $17 per hour.
