Job description
Duties: Responsible for the development of the main numerical methods in COMSOL Multiphysics® software and its add-on products. Develop methods for solving partial and ordinary differential equations and methods for optimization. Work on analysis, specification, implementation in C++/Java, testing and documentation. Profile the performance of new and existing methods. Build tutorial models for new and existing functionality. Write different types of tests for new and existing methods. Write product documentation for new functionality and for tutorial models. Give technical presentations at webinars, workshops, customer meetings and conferences.
Requirements: Requires PhD in Applied Mathematics, Numerical Analysis or related field of study, and 1 year of experience in any job title/occupation/position teaching mathematics. Requires: Completion of research project using Active Flux Method; Completion of research project using algorithms and data structures for numerical methods; Completion of research project using programming language C++; and Coursework featuring rigorous mathematics.
