Job description

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) is seeking a Campus Planning and Development Manager to join the Laboratory Infrastructure Planning Office in the Operations Directorate. LBNL is undergoing a unique period of infrastructure transformation highlighted by a modernization campaign, which is reimagining our use of existing facilities and brownfield development of strategic facility sites.

The Campus Planning and Technical Development Manager ensures the long-term direction of the Laboratory's physical and built environment is properly planned, prioritized in the context of resource constraints, and sited in alignment with the strategic goals of the Laboratory and the Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science Mission. This includes open space, buildings, non-motorized circulation, motorized circulation, utilities, and other infrastructure elements. In addition, this position is responsible for managing the Space Planning, Environmental Planning, and Redevelopment Planning functions and resources necessary to successfully implement these programs. The role also collaborates with multidisciplinary stakeholders, providing direction to related project delivery functional areas, scientific stakeholders, and operations policy owners.
