Job description

Starlite Building Services is a construction services operation that serves clients throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, New York City, Arkansas and Los Angeles. We can help with defining scopes, budgeting, and site logistics. Our team is made up of hundreds of talented and dedicated craft workers providing valuable assistance with project scope, budgeting, scheduling, site logistics, and materials. We are looking for recent college graduates to be part of Starlite Building Services. This unique training program as you can experience the different areas of construction management: Project Management and Estimating. This opportunity will start in May/June and end in August.  

Project Management

1. Ensure the proper tools are in place to begin a project
2. Ensure all documents and materials are maintained throughout a project
3. Assist with the financial management of a project
4. Assist with the punch list process by coordinating with necessary parties, tracking all items, and distributing lists to all parties

Estimating

1. Ensure that proper documentation is in place before the beginning of the estimating process
2. Find all necessary information regarding the job to produce a quality estimate
3. Ensure that the best bids are obtained for each trade based on project needs, and create quantity take-offs for all applicable divisions/trades, beginning with the creation of an accurate list of all trades affected
4. Assist in the presentation of information and proposals

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience required
2. A degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Mechanical Engineering, etc. *There are no specific major requirements, however, these are the most relevant
3. Co-op or internship experience in construction is strongly preferred
4. Strong communication skills
5. Flexibility for national/regional travel
6. Trade experince is encourged
