This is a full-time position located on-site at our Corporate Office in Monroe, NC.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for partnering with hiring managers and external recruiters on all aspects of recruiting. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for attracting qualified candidates for open positions and assessing their relevant knowledge, experience, and culture fit. The Talent Acquisition Specialist also serves as the liaison between internal managers and external recruiters to ensure that the position guide is accurate to support the placement of high-quality candidates. The Talent Acquisition Specialist owns the candidate experience and must communicate in a timely manner to effectively minimize hiring time. Since the Talent Acquisition Specialist is one of True Homes’ primary contacts for new potential candidates, alignment with the aspired company culture is critical.
Responsibilities:
- Sources and recruits qualified candidates through active and passive recruiting methods through social media posts, resume mining, career fairs, college recruitment, community network events, job boards, special recruiting events, and other advertisements
- Partners with hiring managers and staffing agencies to find strategies to determine staffing needs
- Screens resumes and job applications
- Conducts interviews to find qualified candidates
- Expedites the recruiting process by the timely coordination of schedules phone screens, on-site interviews, video conferences, or interviews
- Tracks and manages the recruiting process, ensuring that pre-established recruiting and hiring metrics are being met, with both internal hiring managers and external recruiters
- Inputs and supports external recruiters to maintain an accurate status of each candidate in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Reviews the position guide with each hiring manager to ensure accuracy and posts the open positions on applicable job boards and websites
- Handles any incoming inquiries from applicants, hiring managers, and staffing agencies regarding open positions and application status
- Manages intern program to support high quality and culturally aligned interns
- Leads college recruiting efforts by working with hiring managers and executive partners to establish college and on-campus recruitment and hiring goals
- Orders Caliper and Birkman assessments on candidates and conducts Caliper reviews as needed
- Writes and sends offer letters and onboarding documents to candidates
- Orders background checks and drug tests for new hires
- Conducts reference checks as needed
- Performs other duties as needed or required
Results/Accountability:
- Posts position within 24 hours of receiving approved job requisition to Company website and applicable job boards
- Ensures that candidates move through the ATS daily
- Ensures that the recruitment and hiring process meet pre-established productivity metrics
- Manages and maintains ATS so candidate status is up to date weekly
- Maintains strong, collaborative, and productive relationships with hiring managers, staffing agencies, and other strategic partners
- Follows up with hiring managers weekly to give a status on their open position
- Provides Recruiting Report and Sales Pipeline every Friday
- Responds to hiring managers’ and candidates’ inquiries within 24 hours
- Disqualifies and communicates to all rejected applicants and candidates within 48 hours of when a position is filled and signed offer letter is received or when a position is closed
- Follows up with interns throughout the program to foster a positive intern experience
- Executes the pre-established college and on-campus recruitment and hiring goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, and/or two or more years of relevant work experience required
- One year of recruiting experience in a corporate or agency environment preferred
- Previous experience with an ATS, specifically Clear Company preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion and tact in handling sensitive information and data
- Valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and reliable personal transportation for occasional travel within NC and SC

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time
- Associate needs to occasionally move about the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment
