Job description
Work Experience: More than 24 months
- Strong Smarthands network device, rack, stack, patch, troubleshoot and decommission skills.
- Ability to identify network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, APs) and understand their basic role and functions.
- Knowledge and experience with providing console access to devices, working on a telephonic bridge with remote engineers, sharing console access via screen sharing software.
- Familiar with rack elevations, enterprise campus MDF and IDF closets and datacentre environments.
- Experience with installs and refresh of routers, switches and APs.
- CompTIA Network+ and/or CCNA skills a plus.
- Patch cabling, power cord connections, closet cable dressing.
- Reliable and punctual in an SLA driven schedule.
- Able to follow instructions from senior engineers both verbal and written.
- Accurate and reliable in following site visit procedures, communication requirements and protocols.
- Professional demeanour, strong communication and client facing skills.
- A positive attitude.
- Ability to work autonomously without direct supervision and solve unexpected problems (technical or non-technical) on the fly.
- Driven to deliver quality work.
