Job Summary: This position is responsible for assisting the Vineyard Manager with the day-to-day vineyard operations. This includes implementation of the annual vineyard plan, managing crews, maintaining performance standards, and maintaining quality standards.

Dell Valley Vineyards is looking for an Assistant Vineyard Manager that can manage all aspects of a vineyard. We are looking for a well-organized and energetic individual who can motivate and manage a crew, has great customer service skills, and can multitask. A good candidate for this position is dependable, enthusiastic, and has a desire to be successful.

Assistant Vineyard Manager will work with the Vinyard Manager and General Manager to meet standards and client needs.

Assistant Vineyard manager will work closely with supervisors, crew leaders, and vineyard workers to accomplish daily duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: General vineyard operations.
Communicate daily tasks to crews.
Manage all vineyard activities in accordance with the vineyard plan, ensuring quality expectations and budgets are met.
Coordinate with the Vineyard Manager on projects and activities to ensure completion within approved timeline.
Complete daily observations of crew performance ensuring quality expectations are within vineyard plan specifications and taking immediate corrective action when necessary.
Complete daily observations of vine health, noting and communicating any critical observations to the Vineyard Manager.
Work with the Vineyard Manager on all vineyard activities including spray and irrigation, ensuring equipment is set up in accordance and within specifications.
Oversee frost protection.
Lead all harvest activities including pick dates and providing crews with specific direction of picking rows and blocks
Assist with all vineyard data management and data input.
Manage miscellaneous vineyard projects as needed.

Qualifications:
Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Bachelors in Viticulture Or Agriculture Preferred.
5 or more years of Experience in the wine grape growing industry

Skills:
Good verbal and written English communication Skills
Excellent Management and Leadership skills
Organized and accurate record keeping
Computer skills and database Application Proficiency (Microsoft Office, (Excel/Word ect.), Calendar, Google, Trimble).

Salary Range $40,000-$50,000 DOE
