Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Teach 5th – 8th grade Science classes in accordance with curriculum standards; develop laboratory experiments to reinforce Science related concepts, assess progress and make instructional decisions to ensure academic and social development of students; communicate with parents and school administration related to student performance and student needs.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to work with 5th – 8th grade middle school students in a classroom and laboratory environment; be effective in achieving curriculum standards; ensure student progress both academically and socially; implement best practice teaching strategies and student intervention actions; communicate effectively with team members in a classroom and school environment.
Education and ExperienceCertified in the State of Nebraska to teach either middle school grade levels; elementary grade levels, or secondary Science; teaching experience preferred but not required.
