Job description

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: IMPACT ANALYST

Note to applicants: we will review applications that include a relevant cover letter.

2024

Social Venture Technology Group (SVT) is a pioneering impact advisory firm specializing in measurement, management, and communication of social and environmental impact. We believe that when social and environmental value is systematically articulated and managed, resources will flow to those organizations that create positive impact and away from those that destroy it. Our work involves strategic advisory services, capacity building, and field-building R&D.

SVT seeks an Impact Analyst to work on client projects as part of a broader project team. While no two client projects are the same, the Impact Analyst will be responsible for a stream of work which may require research, data modelling and analysis, and developing presentations or a report to communicate their findings. For context, a typical project lasts between three to six months and you will typically work on multiple projects at a time. The Impact Analyst will be managed and supported by senior members of the team.

If you are driven by excellence, are self-motivated, and curious, and have the ability to ensure key tasks and requirements are taken through to completion, then you should consider applying!

As a graduate, ideally with some recent experience working in a problem-solving role either in a strategy consulting firm or related context (i.e. law, finance, business, government), you will have an understanding of, and passion for, working on society's most important challenges. Previous experience in research, data modelling and analysis, building presentations and report writing will see you be successful in the role of Impact Analyst. Prior experience working directly on social or environmental issues is helpful.

This role provides exposure to challenging and rewarding opportunities across the social and business sectors working on society's most important challenges. It also allows you the opportunity to work with an experienced team of consultants, continuing to develop your expertise in impact management, problems solving skills, clear communication, and preparation of fit-for-purpose client deliverables.

You will work within a growing and highly committed team with wide-ranging experience across the social, corporate, and government sectors. You will forge close relationships with inspiring clients, sector leaders, colleagues and stakeholders, which provides a great foundation for professional growth and development.
