Job Description

* Under moderate supervision, the MRI Technologist is responsible for diagnostic MRI imaging and/or radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
* Will perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative in applying technical imaging factors and anatomical positions.
* The MRI Technologist will demonstrate a professional approach in his/her work, with emphasis on patient care, while still maintaining patient safety. Be responsive in the need to use proper radiation and MRI safety principles, both for the safety of the patient as well as themselves and co-workers.
* Assume responsibility for designated area as required.
* Patients served include infant through adult-geriatric.

Qualifications

* Graduation from an approved and accredited radiologic educational program (required)
* Registration from the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (required)
* License as a Medical Radiation Technologist in the state of Maryland (required)
* MRI certification (preferred)
* Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care (required)
