Job description
The Sr. Manager of Art is responsible for leading the artistic design of IGT’s products through engaging 2D art and 3D elements (logos, backgrounds, reels, characters, symbols, etc.). The scope of responsibilities may include the creation of art from scratch or the adaptation of existing sets of art assets from initial concept through delivery of final art package. This process spans the initial sketching and outlining of graphic elements and animations to delivery of the final graphic files. The role works in close collaboration with Project Managers/Product Owners, Game Designers/Producers, Artists/Concept Artists, and Testers.
Essential Functions:
- Drives design and development of innovative and engaging graphics tailored to a target market in partnership with Producers and Product partners.
- Responsible for developing (original and/or licensed) game backgrounds, logos, user interface, innovative themes, character designs, animations, and story board graphics of the highest caliber to create a product that is a complete entertainment package.
- Creates game-ready digital and print artwork in accordance with the capabilities & requirements of the target product line.
- Utilizes different layouts, models, textures, animation, rendering, lighting techniques, and tools to fully utilize IGT’s state of the art game engine.
- Delivers innovative concepts and uniquely designed displays to provide exceptional visual experiences for casino players.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree, or comparable relevant working experience in fine arts, graphic art, 2D/3D animation or equivalent.
Experience:
- 12+ years of experience developing art or animation with industry standard art software in the casino design industry or other relevant fields.
- Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, Maya, Spine, or special effects plugins.
- Awareness of evolving visual trends in entertainment, slot, and/or casino industry.
- Excellent interpersonal, spoken, written, and visual communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while remaining accountable to the objectives and evolving priorities of a larger cross-functional team.
