Job description

The Team Leader is responsible for the safety, quality, and productivity of all employees in their designated department. Additionally, the Team Leader ensures production schedules are met in accordance with company goals as directed by Supervisor/Manager. Ensures quality products are produced in accordance with all company quality policies and procedures and regulatory agency regulations. Regulatory agencies include FDA, OSHA, NRC, GDNR, and ISO.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Delegate tasks to team members to ensure production goals are met daily while adhering to established safety, quality, and production standards,

· Ensure DHR and other quality records are accurate and complete,

• Perform Lab Technician duties as needed in addition to team lead duties,
• Assist Supervisor/Manager in the hiring process for temporary and regular employees,
• Provide feedback and assistance to Supervisor/Manager for performance reviews and disciplinary actions,
• Lead production team through mentoring and motivating team members, ensuring group and individual productivity,
• Responsible for training and assisting in developing employees and teamwork by coaching employees and empowering employees to support everyone’s efforts to succeed,
• Perform and/or assist with investigations related to safety, quality, and operational performance,
• Enable effective communication between the production team and management.
• Demonstrate knowledge of regulatory requirements and processes while adhering to quality standards,
• Observe safety and security procedures. Maintain a safe, clean work area and report any potentially unsafe conditions. Use equipment and materials properly and train others ensuring they work safely,
• Participate in cross-departmental projects and teams or work on specific projects assigned by supervisor or manager,
• Responsible for any calibration requirements performed by manufacturing personnel,
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION :

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

· Minimum two years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

· Knowledge of company products and processes

· Knowledge of quality policies and procedures and applicable regulatory agency regulations

· Demonstrated ability to lead others

· Ability to set priorities, plan work activities and to organize and schedule employees’ work and tasks.

· Ability to work with concentrated visual attention to analyze potential errors and problems.

· Ability to use computer including Microsoft Office Suite to perform day-to-daywork.

· Ability to work overtime as workload dictates

· Ability to train all personnel on the production floor
