Job description
The School of Music Program Assistant will assist the Director and Program Manager of the School of Music with the daily operations of the school.
- Assist with addressing inquiries from prospective and returning students regarding classes, lessons, and other programs offered by the School of Music, catering toboth youth and adults.
- Support the Director and Manager in monitoring communication between faculty and patrons.
- Interact with patrons and staff in a positive and efficient manner offering timely and pragmatic solutions to questions or concerns raised.
- Handle patron inquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
- Assist in coordinating classes, lessons, and performances.
- Facilitate student registration for classes and lessons.
- Assist with the review of scheduling, room bookings, and setups.
- Ensure accuracy of class details on the website and tracking documents.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years of administrative experience required.
- Previous experience in a cultural arts organization would be beneficial.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to self manage workload.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an eye for detail are essential.
- Candidates should be service oriented, possessing adept interpersonal skills to engage effectively with a diverse range of patrons.
- Proficiency in using various software applications, including Google Drive, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Zoom.
16.5 hours per week. Flexible schedule but consistency required.

Compensation Range
$25/hour
The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
