Job description
Brand New restaurant concept opening in July. We are looking for a motivated industry veteran that is hungry to bring a new concept to life. The concept is going to be an elevated Dim Sum/ Dumpling centric establishment. We are looking for a candidate that has high standards and is a stickler for implementing and executing systems. Please read description below to see if we would be a good fit. Ownership group has other restaurants in area. We open in 4 months, looking to hire now to start the systems and hiring process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Operations:
- Spearhead the opening of our new restaurant, overseeing all aspects of day-to-day operations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective operational systems to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Hire, Lead, motivate, and mentor staff to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Uphold the highest standards of service, creating a culture of excellence in customer experience.
- Culinary and Beverage Expertise:
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of our menu, ensuring consistency and expectations are being exceeded.
- Collaborate with the culinary and beverage team to curate a menu that showcases innovative flavors and techniques.
- Monitor restaurant trends and incorporate them into the restaurant's offerings to stay ahead in the competitive market.
- Financial Management:
- Work closely with ownership to develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and P&L statements.
- Implement cost-control measures to optimize profitability while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Analyze financial performance and recommend strategies for improvement.
Guest Relations:
- Instill a customer-centric mindset in the team, ensuring that each guest receives outstanding service.
- Address customer feedback promptly and implement improvements based on insights.
- Foster relationships with the local community to build a loyal customer base.
- Training and Development:
- Collaborate with ownership to create an operational handbook and comprehensive training programs.
- genuine passion for creating memorable dining experiences. Conduct regular training sessions for staff to ensure consistency in service and adherence to operational standards.
- Identify opportunities for professional development and growth within the team.
James Beard Award Aspiration:
- Work closely with the food and beverage teams to develop and execute a culinary and hospitality vision aligned with the standards set by the James Beard Foundation.
- Strive for excellence in all aspects of restaurant operations to position us as a contender for prestigious awards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a General Manager in the restaurant industry.
- Demonstrated success in opening and managing new restaurants.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and inspire a high-performing team.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Genuine passion for creating memorable dining experiences
