The VDC Specialist is responsible for providing support as
necessary for projects in regards to their area of expertise.
The VDC Specialist is also responsible for the implementation
of the Regional and Global VDC Strategy that focuses on the use
of Virtual Design and Construction for advanced project
collaboration, data management, and risk mitigation to maximize
customer value and to minimize project cost and schedule.
As part of the VDC Technology Team, the VDC Specialist
may develop and implement standard operating procedures and
technologies.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
- Develops and continually improves integrated best
practices, procedures, workflows and technology innovations in
alignment with, and in support of Regional and Global VDC
Strategy and goals
- Assists with training programs by facilitating, developing,
and/or teaching; including but not limited to webinars, new
technology deployments and whitepapers
- Works with VDC personnel in addressing workflows, software,
and/or training related issues on projects
- Researches and recommends innovative ways to utilize VDC
data to add value to customers and/or improve internal
efficiencies
- Supports VDC Coordinators and Project Management in
preparation and delivery of project presentations, proposal
materials, project interviews, project scope, Owner Agreements,
and BIM Execution Plans
Show your expertise
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Building
Science, or Engineering; Advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ involvement in VDC program implementations
with an AEC and/or EPCM firm, preferably for advance technology
facilities using Revit and other Autodesk products
- Understanding of EPCM project workflows and basic project
management
- Ability to travel
- Highly adept at interfacing / aligning multiple
stakeholders with diplomacy. Reaches out, willing to
collaborate, and values different opinions and perspective.
- Ability to guide multi-disciplinary teams in the pursuits
of solutions while encouraging creativity, innovation, and
continuous improvement
- Exceptional presentation skills for internal and external
customers
