Job Title: Controller
Location: Bakersfield, CA
Salary: $160,000 - $200,000
THIS IS AN ON-SITE ROLE
- All accounting activities, including those involving accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgeting, treasury, taxation, debt covenant compliance, billing, payroll, general ledger, collections, and other accounting services, must be successfully completed.
- Help and plan the weekly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation. ensures that the financials are closed on schedule at both the month and year ends.
- Evaluate and Coordinate with the CFO to manage the cash reserves of the organization. takes part in making investment selections and keeping track of returns. takes steps to protect the company's financial reserves.
- Prepare monthly and annual budgets to actual comparisons in collaboration with the Financial Planning and Reporting Department and the CFO.
- Help with the annual report preparation and oversees the organization's 401(k) plan.
- Accountable for ensuring that every member of the accounting department develops professionally.
- Review and offer guidance on complicated collection issues to the CFO and Revenue Cycle Manager.
- Oversee the data processing software for the accounting system, plans updates, conversions, and training as necessary.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or CMA License Required
- 5+ years of experience in accounting working within the healthcare industry
- 3+ years of management experience
- ERP and Excel experience required
