Our Award Winning Client is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Emergency Department Supervisor.

Must-Haves:

  1. 1-3 years of supervisory experience in the Emergency Department (ED).
  2. Associate's degree is required.
  3. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.

Nice-To-Haves:

  1. NC OEMS Knowledge.
  2. Bachelor's degree (BSN) is preferred.

Job Description: Our Award Winning Client, a national leader in healthcare, is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Supervisor to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will assist the Director of the unit in organizing, directing, and supervising operational functions within the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, maintaining safe staffing levels, managing supplies and equipment, and overseeing efficient patient throughput. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of clinical care, educational requirements as mandated by NCOEMS, and proficiency in performance improvement processes. Additionally, the supervisor assumes responsibilities for hospital emergency management/preparedness according to TJC standards. Engaging in ongoing quality and performance improvement, investing in staff professional development, and ensuring completion of required annual competencies are integral aspects of the role. The supervisor also maintains professional growth and development in nursing leadership and required licensure while communicating important information to the Director of the unit and the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) as necessary.
