Summary
In conjunction with covering reception, the Temp Services Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative support across various departments within the company. This role requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and proficiency in various computer applications. PEA prefers to promote talent from within and it is envisioned that the successful candidate in this role wishes to develop their skills and grow with PEA.
Essential Functions
- Warmly welcome all visitors, answer their queries, and direct them to the appropriate personnel or location within the flight school.
- Provide administrative support to various departments within the company; cover the administrative tasks for employees who are on leave, vacation, or during periods of increased workload.
- Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and mail.
- Maintain a clean and organized space: Ensure that the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
- Collaborate closely with other staff members, providing necessary administrative support such as photocopying, filing, and data entry.
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook and issue visitor badges).
- Periodically assist with the set up and take down for company sponsored events
Competencies
- Previous experience in a receptionist or front desk role.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and office software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Knowledge about aviation or a keen interest to learn is a plus.
- Ability to maintain strict confidence of sensitive company information
- This position will be expected to qualify for, and obtain, TSA security approval.
Physical Demands
- Stationary position: Must be able to to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time.
- Move, Traverse: The person in this position will occasionally move about the campus
- Communicate: The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Ascend/Descend: Must be able to walk up and down stairways.
- Operate: Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment: phone, printer/copier.
- Detect: The ability to observe details at close range
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Pay
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience.
Required Education and Experience
- 3+ years Customer Service Experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (phone, computer, copier and printer)
- High School Diploma
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
Preferred Education and Experience
- 5+ years Customer Service Experience
