Job description
We are seeking a Laborer/Material Handler to join our team! This role will play a key part in assisting in the operations of the company's inventory, involving tasks such as unloading, staging, securing, and organizing inventory materials, as well as conducting regular cycle counts. Additionally, this position will contribute to the organization and cleanliness of the shop, yard, and inventory storage locations. Preferred candidates for this position will have experience in material handling and working in a shop environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are willing to learn, thrive in a physically demanding environment and demonstrate extreme attention to detail. COMPENSATION - Wage Range : $20.00 to $23.00 per hour.

SCHEDULE - Standard Shift: Monday – Friday 8am – 5:00pm.
- Work Location: Company Headquarters in Springfield, OR
QUALIFICATIONS - Experience: Experience with warehouse/inventory activities preferred.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds in a physical environment on a regular basis.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills in Microsoft Suite.
- Driver License: Valid Oregon driver’s license with a driving record that includes no more than 3 moving violations and/or chargeable accidents in the last 3 years and no DUIIs.
- Pre-employment Requirement : Pre-employment drug test and physical.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Carrying, lifting, pushing and pulling loads up 75 pounds in a physical environment on a regular basis.
- This position is performed both indoors and outdoors and is exposed to various weather conditions, such as heat, cold and rain.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES - Safely handles loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, transporting, and securing inventory materials.
- Assists in maintaining organization, cleanliness, and safety in the shop, yard, and inventory locations.
- Conducts regular cycle counts and accurately records inventory transactions.
- Distributes supplies to customers based on daily pick tickets.
- Executes receipt transactions for all inbound freight.
- Develops and executes efficient shipping processes for outbound freight.
- Optimizes space utilization for material storage.
- Collaborates with the Supply Chain Manager to enhance warehouse and inventory control processes.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the Product Support department.
SAFETY - Prioritizes safety and continually works with team members to maintain a safe operation.
- Follows company policies and adheres to OSHA / MSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment .
- Attends weekly department safety meetings .
- Implements and promotes 5S principles to enhance workplace organization and safety.
