APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California. Develop safety systems for future products, through the use of finite element analysis (FEA) software. Use math models to develop safety critical performance for future products. Run physical testing of safety systems to ensure performance meets targets. Correlate math models to physical tests to improve the prediction of future simulations. Develop countermeasure. Work cross-functionally with design teams across Apple to develop part designs which meet system performance requirements. Coordinate the work of domestic and international engineering services contractors to compliment in-house simulation work. Maintain, synchronize, extend and evolute the in-house material models data base. Coordinate experimental testing program for material characterization. Validate and improve mathematical or numerical material models. International Travel required 10%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $140,525 - $199,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Education & Experience

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Finite Element Analysis or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
