Job description

Job Summary:

The Manager of Corporate Development will report to the current Vice President of Development and work closely with the CEO to develop and execute internal and acquisition growth strategies in the Company&rsquos markets. The initial duties will be the completion of acquisitions and strategic planning.

 

Responsibilities:

Consistently track and procure deal follow, research and identify new opportunities.

Acquisition target monitoring and tracking, including creating company profiles.

Develop and maintain complex financial models which support management decisions to act upon corporate initiatives and acquisition targets.

Support the senior management team in preparing and providing M&A progress review and management updates to the board, executive committee, etc.

Assist the CEO in completing bolt-on acquisitions including: due diligence, analysis, valuation, writing the business proposal and participation in negotiations.

Troubleshooting assignments, as necessary.

Oversee the legal agreement process, as necessary.

Coordinate post-closing integration, as necessary.

Work with VP of Development to determine reach out strategy and support call outs where applicable.

Assess corporate / operations streamlining, as necessary.

Perform forecasting, valuation and scenario analysis.

Review proposals for consideration and allocation of funds or allocates funds from budget.

Assist the CEO in long-term planning including: strategic planning, capacity analysis and acquisition planning.

Assist in analysis of new product and market ideas, and the development of growth strategies in the new business areas.

 

Skills:

5-7 years&rsquo experience in corporate development, consulting, private equity or investment banking.

Ability to engage with middle/senior management to understand needs, communicate findings.

Ability to plan, communicate the strategy and pay close attention to details.

Ability to work independently and be accountable for results.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines to meet strategic business objectives.

25% travel required.

High proficiency with Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

Strong experience in areas of financial concepts, valuation and Excel financial modeling.

Maturity, credibility and unquestioned integrity.

A high energy level, passion and strong work ethic.

Capable of working collaboratively in a team environment.
