Physical Demands:

Occasional bending, stooping, and kneeling

Work Schedule:

8AM to 5PM core hours with additional hours as required. May be required to work non-traditional work week or work hours.  May need to work On-Call hours to help supervise facility during non-business hours.

Work Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in a cold environment with exposure to dry ice, liquid nitrogen cryogenics, hazardous and infectious agents,  marked changes in temperature.

May push/pull 600 lb liquid nitrogen dewars, and work from a platform ladder.

Must use personal protective equipment and adhere to safety protocols.

Lift and carry up to 50 lbs and push up to 70 lbs.

Process and handle materials frozen on dry ice (-78°C) or liquid nitrogen (-196°C) for up to 6 hours per day.

Be able to work in walk-in freezers or refrigerators periodically for up to 5 hour per day.

:

Updates current contract financial spreadsheets monthly detailing contract, subcontractor, and consultant expenditures and labor.

Archives, leads, and maintains computer and hard‑copy filing systems of contract financial deliverables, related paperwork, and other miscellaneous deliverables.

Develops and maintains new contract financial spreadsheets as requested.  Develops and maintains contract budget spreadsheets as requested.

Efficiently prepare specialized purchasing approvals (COAs) for submission to the contracting office.  Tracks contract financial changes (modifications and COAs).

Reviews all contract invoices for correctness and incorporation into financial spreadsheets.

Performs internal specimen consolidation and modernization projects under the mentorship of a Lead Operations Technician.

Participates in process improvement activities!

Receives, handles and inventories specimens of human, animal, and/or plant origin at temperatures ranging from ambient to -196°C, and having potentially hazardous properties.

Receives, handles and inventories Clinical Agent investigational product ranging from ambient to -80°C,

Follows standard operating procedures (SOPs), facility safety guidelines, and Food & Drug. Role models behavior consistent with our things we value of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation & Involvement.

Assist Project manager with QC of Specimen Receipts.

Qualification

Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner!

Good research, analysis, and negotiation skills

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Must be detail oriented.

Education/ Training:

HS Diploma or GED required

4-year degree or related field or equivalent experience

Experience in contract administration

Digital literacy with command of office software (spreadsheets, word processing, and database applications)

Ability and/or Skills:

Ability to use a computer for up to 8 hours

Ability to type/word process for up to 4 hours
