Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit: The mission of the CYFCP is to educate, advocate, and collaborate with individuals and systems to promote the well-being of youth and families.
Position Summary: This position will provide evaluation leadership for C YFCP programs. The primary focus will be the NC High Fidelity Wraparound Training Program (HFWTP) and NC Youth and Family Voices Amplified but project assignments are subject to change based on funding availability and project needs. This results in an individual who can work between a variety of funding sources and areas of concentration.
Minimum Qualifications: - Master’s degree in social work, educational research methodology, psychology, sociology, education, public health, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience implementing and evaluating programs related to applied social sciences.
- Must have a strong background in a variety of evaluation approaches and research methods (including both quantitative and qualitative analysis) with the ability to analyze various forms of data, as well as to assess the effectiveness of interventions.
- Experience with community-based participatory research.
- The candidate must be able to clearly communicate evaluation-related concepts and findings in oral and written form in a professional manner, while also demonstrating excellent listening skills and a comfort working with a range of individuals within both community settings (e.g., practitioners, youth and families, local and state governmental representatives) and the university (e.g., faculty, graduate students, administration).
- Because of the nature of community-based research, in-state traveling may be required depending upon the evaluation project. Applicants must have a valid NC drivers’ license and an ability to accommodate occasional day and/or overnight travel within NC.
- Must have a successful track record of writing, submitting, and administering grants.
Preferred Qualifications: - Doctoral degree in social work, educational research methodology, psychology, sociology, education, public health, or related field.
- Experience with writing and/or managing grant-funded projects

Essential Tasks: - Support CYFCP Director and other program leaders with grant writing and reporting activities
- Partner with CYFCP leaders for strategic planning around current and prospective grant-funded activities
- Provide timely evaluation/data reports to ensure compliance with required project deliverables
Percentage Of Time: 75%
Key Responsibility: Research, evaluation, and technical assistance
Essential Tasks: - Research design and evaluation including the development of data collection tools, IRB submission, training others in data collection and reporting, data analysis, and reporting, including written and oral presentations.
- Provide training and technical assistance to internal and external partners and collaborators related to data collection, research design, operational activities, sustainability, fidelity, and process improvement across various projects.
- Provide research and training/technical assistance for the CYFCP’s programs (specific program assignments will depend in current funding).
Percentage Of Time: 10%
Key Responsibility: Staff supervision
Essential Tasks: - Lead and develop staff members that are supervised by this position.
- Provide staff with timely feedback on their performance, including completing necessary annual goals and performance assessments.

- Participate in other CYFCP leadership activities to support the organization’s work to address its strategic plan priorities
