JOB SUMMARY:
Adams Outdoor Advertising (AOA), the 4 th largest and largest private Outdoor Advertising firm in the U.S., is seeking an experienced and strategic IT Director to lead our technology initiatives. The IT Director will play a critical role to develop and to drive the technology strategy for AOA. The IT Director will also foster internal partnerships to enhance the organization’s technological capabilities and to support business objectives.
Select IT Director responsibilities include:
- Responsibility for Network Administration,
- Support of Internal Users (~300),
- Liaison with Operations / Support of the Digital Billboard Network (~350 digital faces),
- Procurement of IT Hardware and Software, and
- Interaction and Oversight of various Vendors / Vendor Relationships.
The IT Director manages a team of approximately 10 IT professionals, including (i) Systems Administrator, (ii) IT Helpdesk, (iii) Digital Support Team, (iv) Software Developer, (v) Software Support and Trainer, (vi) IT Project Manager and (vii) Data Integrity Manager. The IT Director reports to the Chief Financial Officer and will have significant exposure to Senior Leadership and AOA’s investors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE: Strategic Planning: - Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with the overall business goals.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to identify opportunities for technology-driven innovation.
- Evaluate emerging technologies / trends to ensure AOA remains at the forefront of industry advancements.
Strategic Partnerships: - Establish and nurture internal partnerships with key stakeholders, including marketing, sales, operations and Senior Leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and to align technology solutions with organizational objectives.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation to drive effective solutions.
IT Leadership: - Provide leadership and management of the IT team, inspiring a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Oversee the development and execution of IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Develop and assume responsibility for the annual IT budget.
Technology Architecture: - Define and maintain the technology architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
- Work closely with the technical team to design and implement solutions to meet business needs.
- Conduct regular technology assessments to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Risk Management: - Identify and assess potential technology risks, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Establish and maintain a robust cybersecurity framework.
- Participate and provide feedback to annual audits focusing on network security, disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, with a focus on strategic planning and partnerships.
- Strong understanding of outdoor advertising industry trends and technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
