Ananias House is now seeking to recruit a Fundraising Development Director who will report directly to the Executive Director of Ananias House.
Position Summary
The Transformational Partnerships Director will work directly under the Executive Director to implement the organization’s vision and mission into a development strategy. They will design and execute a multifaceted fundraising, marketing, and development program, including existing and new strategies for attracting new organizations, businesses, major donors, and churches. They will maintain these relationships and find innovative ways to market the ministry and its vision. They will devise grassroots strategies and efforts that align with organizational objectives and program activities. The Transformational Partnerships Director will work to coordinate donors' interests with the mission and needs of the ministry while overseeing, managing, and implementing these efforts with the Ananias House team to maintain the organization's growth and mission.
Key Job Responsibilities
Development and Donor Relations
Work closely with the Executive Director to create a strategic plan for achieving annual fundraising goals, leveraging all available resources to successfully execute the plan.
Collaborate with the leadership team on various organization campaigns and manage their execution.
Manage the donor engagement process, including donor identification, research, cultivation, solicitation, reporting, empowerment, and acknowledgment, utilizing the support of the Executive Director and key personnel as resources
Build and sustain diverse funding streams, including but not limited to organizations, churches, individuals, and businesses.
Enhance existing fundraising strategies and map out a successful implementation plan that will identify, solicit, and cultivate a new donor base, ensure renewed support from existing donors, and develop and implement a plan to reactivate lapsed donors while driving budget growth.
Work closely with each department to manage and oversee the execution and implementation of fundraising strategies, plans, and goals.
Come up with opportunistic and creative ways to advance the strategy of Ananias House and build community awareness.
Marketing and Communications
Oversee plans to be implemented by marketing to support outreach and fundraising strategies, initiatives, and campaigns.
Attend events, ministry fairs, donor meetings, and church functions, representing and speaking on behalf of Ananias House.
Contribute to creative marketing messaging and communication efforts across all forms of social media and other related platforms.
Build and cultivate a public relations strategy to constantly refine the image and strengthen the presence of Ananias House.
Work with the executive director to oversee any publication work and ensure its service to strengthen the donor base's knowledge of the organization's work and mission.
Cross-Cultural Relations
Willingness to travel to the MENA at least once a year to visit our partners in the region in support of the ministry in MENA as well as representing them in the U.S.
Identify effective methods for supporting field programs, projects and initiatives in MENA and representing these to donors.
Operations
Work with the Operations manager to manage the strategic development calendar.
Responsible for tracking, reporting, and timely response to organizations and donors’ deadlines.
Plan, execute, and report on all fundraising events, dinners, outreach campaigns, and other activities.
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers supporting fundraising and outreach initiatives.
Assist the Executive Director with any presentations needed for board or donor-related meetings.
Manage volunteers and support staff.
Additional Responsibilities as the Ministry Requires.
Skills and Abilities
Ability to demonstrate Ananias House’s Christian foundational principles through personal and professional attitudes are essential.
Ability to influence and engage a wide range of donors and cultivate and build long-term relationships.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as a team player
Driven to take initiative and to manage parallel tasks, personnel, and projects at a time.
Strong aptitude for building and developing relationships
Ability to creatively develop a marketing strategy that appeals to a variety of stakeholders.
Flexibility to travel and work additional hours as required while maintaining a healthy life/ministry balance.
Experience with or having training in event planning, contracts, grant writing/reporting and program management is preferable.
Minimum Requirements
Three to five years professional experience in nonprofit organizations, preferably ministry driven.
Demonstrated success in a fundraising role. The ability to leverage a business career grounded in corporate development, business development, and/or sales will also be considered.
College degree or equivalent experience required.
Cross-cultural experience preferred.
Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite experience, Design software, CRM systems, MS Teams.
Houston area, U. S. , and some international travel are required for this position and is estimated to be 25-30% with occasional weekend work.
Agreement with Ananias House Statement of Faith is required.
Active local church membership and involvement is expected.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation ranges will be dependent upon the candidate’s experience.
We offer 2 weeks of vacation, and 1 week of personal time off per year. 10 paid holidays per year and Medical Insurance.
We encourage continuing education and will work with staff to assess educational goals and offer opportunities to increase skills and to grow spiritually and professionally.
